Sharing events publicly

Every event can be shared as a public link — useful for sending a client, wedding party, or crew member the day’s schedule without requiring them to have a ShutterBase account.

Open the event and select Share, then switch to the Public Link Sharing tab. ShutterBase generates a permanent link using a readable slug based on the event’s date and title (e.g. /public/event/2026-08-14-wolf-river-wedding) rather than an internal ID, so it’s easy to share and reasonably memorable. A QR code is generated alongside it — useful for a printed sign or a quick scan on the day.

The public view shows the event’s schedule, shot lists, and relevant brief details, without exposing your account data or other events. It’s read-only for the schedule and brief — but visitors can check items off the shot list live, in sync with your own view, so a wedding party or client can follow along as shots get captured.

The Public Link Sharing tab also lists everyone who has opened the public page, so you can see at a glance whether it’s actually reached the people you sent it to.
